What Customers Say About Sylvania DVC865F Progressive Scan DVD/VCR Dual Deck:

When you play back, the picture keeps rolling. Annoying since the recording settings are fairly intelligent. The vcr unit is almost hopeless when it comes to recording. Adjusting the tracking helps little if at all.
It's hard to find units that still play VCRs. I have given it 4 stars because the remote doesn't always work. The unit arrived quickly and works well. The price was very reasonable.
The only negative is that you need to record on standard play rather than extended play to get an undistorted picture. This is good for me because I don't have a digital set-up. This VCR/DVD combo is becoming hard to find because it has a built in tuner. I can plug my incoming coaxil cable into the back and run another from my unit to the TV. I have other Sylvania VCR/DVD combos that perform adequately for recording TV programs.
Coordinates nicely with my silver HDTV and printer. Easy to operate and I love the silver color and sleek design. Would highly recommend.
I had to order one from other place. Wrong remote control TWICE. Otherwise my DVD/VCR combo works great.
